The Chocolate Warehouse is a real chocolate wonderland and was set up with one key objective: giving children (and adults) wonderful memories that stay with them for life. This is a unique and special journey through the history and joy of making chocolate.
We have key seasonal events throughout the year such as Santa Visits and Easter Bunny Visits. Many of our original young visitors still return as teenagers and young adults so we know that the experience is something special to keep coming back and make this part of their Christmas and Easter rituals. We pride ourselves in having the largest Christmas and Easter chocolate factory shop in Ireland giving any chocolate lover a thrill of a lifetime.
At the Chocolate Warehouse we also cater for school tours as one of our specialties. This was the first and original workshop bringing the understanding of chocolate to young minds giving them the hands on experience of making something special to take away with them. We extended this experience to tourist groups, birthday parties and the public and always give a “cead mile failte” to all that visit our chocolate warehouse.
The Chocolate Warehouse was established in 2001 by Natasha Caffrey. The idea for the warehouse came about after Natasha spent time working as a marketing executive for Caffrey's Confectionery and was constantly asked by customers and friends about how chocolate was made. There was no other concept like this in Ireland where children could not only enjoy but learn about where one of their favorite things- chocolate and where it comes from. And so the Chocolate Warehouse and workshops were created. With Natasha’s business and Montessori degrees, working with chocolate and children is the ideal combination. Natasha is no stranger to the chocolate business as her Grandfather Thomas Caffrey was the founder of Caffreys Confectionery in the 1930’s. Thomas was not only a master sugar boiler but also a chocolatier and he inspired the love of chocolate through the three generations of the Caffrey family.

Thomas handed down many of the famous recipes including the delicious Caffreys Snowballs. Caffreys are also renowned for their Tea Cakes, Macaroon bars, Big Time bars and Cream Pies which are all available at the Chocolate Warehouse.
Every smile and wonder of awe we see on a child’s face makes the experience for all worth while.
Come visit us at The Chocolate Warehouse where memories are made and all your chocolate dreams do come true.
